Message: Hi there.  I really like your products and have been digging around on your site.  Do you know what incentives are offered for solar water heating in California and do your systems qualify?  We have a family of 4 so I was thinking about your SWH-1 package.  However we also have a pool and was thinking about adding a solar pool heater as we have no pool heater right now.   Jeff

Jeff, currently there are 3 solar incentives for California.  There is the Federal Tax credit of 30%, there is a Solar Water Heating State Incentive of $.54/Kw saved on an annual basis.  As an example our Solar Heating Kit SW-1 with 4 people in the house produces 4.4 MW or 4,400 Kw annually so this would be a $1834 rebate.  So the total incentives would be approx $3634.  Our system cost $5400 so this would be 67% of the purchase cost.  Based on your state electricity costs you would be looking at a payback of  $.15 your would be looking at a payback of just over 3 years.    Dan
