Thermax panels are what are considered Unglazed Solar Pool Heaters. Unlike Thermax Extreme Glazed Solar Pool Collectors, these systems contain no glass insulation or copper heat transfer piping and therefor come at a much more affordable price. Because of there is no glass insulation to trap the heat, the THERMAX are more suitable for pools in a warmer climate where the target design temp is 30 -31C (86-88 F). By most pool professionals this is considered the optimal pool temperature. At temperatures above this the pool’s chemical sanitization begins to evaporate out of the water causing greater chance of algae as well as greater cost to keep the chlorine level stable. For most seasonal pool usage, the Thermax unglazed solar panel is the best for performance and cost.

BUILT-TO-LAST QUALITY

20 YEAR WARRANTY
Unlike other unglazed solar pool panels, the THERMAX are virtually indestructible, there by offering an unprecedented 20-year warranty. The manufacturing process is done using an extruder and as such there are no week seams. Unlike other pool panels the THERMAX are made from HDPE which is significantly stronger than other plastics. The THEMAX are so strong they are guaranteed even when frozen full of water. This allows them to be used on flat roofs as there is no concern of water remaining in the panel during the winter.

CHEMICAL & ANIMAL-RESISTANT
The HDPE is chemical-resistant to both chlorine and salt water, and the system is fully guaranteed from animals and bird bites. The ridged design makes it much easier to layout and install than other pool panel and it is so strong that they can be walked on with out worry of damage.

BETTER HEAT TRANSFER
The large flat surface has little to no air gaps and the engineered design provides better turbulent water mixing which causes a much better heat transfer than tube laminar flow of most common pool panels This means that as far as unglazed pool heaters, the Thermax provide the closest to the maximum possible theoretical efficiency that can be obtained by any unglazed pool panels.
